Are You at Risk for Diabetes?

Over 14 million Americans have Type II(adult-onset) diabetes, and many of them don't even know it yet.

Signs and symptoms can include extreme thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss, blurry vision from time to time and unusual tiredness or drowsiness. If you have any of these symptoms, contact your doctor. Early diagnosis of diabetes is critical.

So how do you know if you have diabetes if you don't yet have symptoms? A blood test is the only way to tell for sure, but taking this quiz, adapted from the American Diabetes Association, can help you find out if you should be tested for the disease. If it shows you're at increased risk, you should see your doctor to have tests now, even if you don't yet have symptoms.
